Sink Boreholes For Safe Water In Kitaasa Village

John Matovu, United States

I would use US$1,000 to buy machines and sink a borehole for safe water supply for locals in Kitaasa village, Rakai District, Uganda. People in this village do not have access to safe drinking water. As a result, children of school going age walk long distances to get water from a lake Kijanebalola which is not safe and they also often miss school. This affects the girls a great deal as they spend more time on doing these routine activities. With this money, I can atleast buy machines and sink for them a borehole which is safe and near people's homes.
