School Support For Orphaned And Vulnerable Girls

I would like to use the $1,000 in school support for the orphaned and vulnerable girls in Zambia's Lusaka Urban primary schools, where the gender gap is rife, owing to high poverty levels. To reach as many girls as possible, the support will be restricted to provision vital school requirements such as uniforms, books, pens, rulers, pencils and mathematical sets. The girl child has continued to suffer the most, from the double tragedy of high poverty and HIV-related illnesses and deaths of parents. Many . While primary education is free in Zambia, many families still fail to afford the basic school requirements for their kids. This has been the major cause of dropout cases in primary schools. This project aims to provide short-term assistance to the most vulnerable school girls who may be on the verge of dropping out. School teachers will assist in identifying these girls.
