Drinking water for people of Siruppakkam village

P. Devendiran, India

I would use US$1000.00 to arrange drinking water channels and connections from the main water tank to the houses of people in Siruppakkam village, India. At the moment there is one big water tank for the whole village built by the government from which people take water supplies for their families by bringing heavy water buckets 0,5 km away. Possibility to get support for this project will help around 30 families to enjoy drinking water at home. According to World Bank report 2012, drinking water is one of the main issues for the country: 72% of population in India lives without access to piped water on their premises. This project will be one step forward to solve this problem as well.
